In “Think and Grow Rich”, Napoleon Hill writes: “My faith is so strong that I can now see this money before my eyes.”

Remember the instruction, Napoleon Hill gives in chapter 4 of “Think and Grow Rich”?  If not, get your free copy and read it. It is the book’s essence (see sidebar)

In chapter 4 of “Think and Grow Rich”, Napoleon Hill strongly suggests to compose a written statement and to repeat it night and morning. To imagine money is an essential part of it.

“Auto-Suggestion – The Medium for Influencing the Subconscious Mind” is the title of chapter 4 in “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill. In this chapter, Napoleon Hill describes the power of Auto-Suggestion and he recommends to imagine the desired amount of money over and over again.

In a print ad from 1937, Napoleon Hill and The Ralston Society promoted “Think and Grow Rich”. The headline above is taken from that ad.

“This book will give you a SUCCESS MIND – bring you into immediate contact with a new irresistible POWER which will automatically remove the obstacles that get in your way.”, Napoleon Hill wrote in his ad.

A constituent part of “Think and Grow Rich” are the 13 Steps toward Riches (Desire, Faith, Auto-Suggestion, Specialized Knowledge, Imagination, Organized Planning, Decision, Persistence, Power of the Master Mind, The Mystery of Sex Transmutation, The Subconscious Mind, The Brain, The Sixth Sense).

This is what the ad said about the 13 Steps to Riches:

Yesterday, I have accidentally discovered how I can quickly shut down my PC without using my mouse. Just using my left hand.  I admit, it is really a very small time saver. It will save you seconds. And tech-savvy folks may have known this hack for decades.

Anyway, even some seconds saved are worth it. And besides: it is just fun – perhaps you can impress your friends and colleagues at work with your new skill.

To shut up your PC with only your left hand, you just need to follow these 3 simple steps:

1. Press CTRL + ESC
2. Press U
3. Press S
4. (Enter)

That’s it. The PC will shut down immediately.  If Napoleon Hill had a PC, I am sure he would have written this tiny hack in “Think and Grow Rich”.
