Do you know, what a Comfort Zone is? Think about TV and game console; think about procrastination, think about the things that you always do the same way – without anxiety, without risk, without remarkable success
It is no longer a secret: Only those who are willing to step out of the comfort zone attain their dreams and heart’s desires. Or, as Wikipedia says: “A person’s personality can be described by his or her comfort zones. Highly successful persons may routinely step outside their comfort zones, to accomplish what they wish.”
There is one major misconception concerning the Comfort Zone. Most people consider stepping out of the Comfort Zone as difficult, unpleasant and painful. But this is not true.
How ‘Think and Grow Rich’ by Napoleon Hill can help you to step out of the Comfort Zone, the beginning may be a little bit nasty. But you will get used to stepping out of your Comfort Zone very quickly, because you will make it a habit. A soft, warm and pleasing habit that paves the road to your personal success.
In his book “Think and Grow Rich”, Napoleon Hill teaches several techniques to step out of the Comfort Zone. Here are the three most effective of his tips:
1. Ask yourself what you intend to attain and what service you are willing to render in return. Then write a statement and repeat this statement night and morning. For exact instructions see Chapter 4: Auto-Suggestion: The Medium for Influencing the Subconscious Mind.
2. Look at procrastination as the opposite of decision and learn to decide quickly and firm. Everybody can learn to make decisions and overcome procrastination. Napoleon Hill describes it in detail in “Think and Grow Rich”, Chapter 8: Decision: The Mastery of Procrastination
3. Get rid of your fears. Napoleon Hill writes in “Think and Grow Rich”: “There are six basic fears, with some combination of which every human suffers at one tune or another. Most people are fortunate if they do not suffer from the entire six. Named in the order of their most common appearance, they are:
The fear of POVERTY
The fear of CRITICISM } most of one’s
The fear of ILL HEALTH } worries
The fear of LOSS OF LOVE OF SOMEONE
The fear of OLD AGE
The fear of DEATH
“All other fears are of minor importance, they can be grouped under these six
headings.” (Chapter 15 – How to Outwit the Six Ghosts of Fear)
Conclusion: If you know what you want and if you can make a quick and firm decision and if you overcome the fear that hinders you, then you will be able to leave your comfort zone whenever you want. Then you will be capable to explore the outside world, meet new opportunities and accomplish what you wish.
